The last time it happened, I found a band-aid solution to guests complaining about high prices. I wanted to make more changes if I could but I couldn't find a way to open and read some of the script files. There are some files in the game that are readable on notepad ( GameParameters.pis and the other . pis files on each scenario and sandscenario folder) but when you try to open up the . ble files, you only see random symbols. I've tried tools that I've seen recommended online ( Game Extractor , Ghidra , Offzip to name a few). Admittedly, I did just glaze over them because I know nothing about reverse engineering a game and didn't know what to do. I have an inkling to play it again recently, and I decided to try an idea that has been looming over my head but have been avoiding.... I was talking with someone about playing hidden object games back in the day (around 15 years ago - ah, simpler times) so I decided to play some. Grim Legends: The Forsaken Bride The reviews on Steam were overwhelmingly positive, so I chose this as my first hidden object game in years. I don't think finding extra hidden stuff were the norm way back but I find that this seems to be a thing in newer hidden object games. I didn't manage to get all the faeries/spirits and elusive objects when I played but it's fine. The story was cliche but I was already expecting it. Pottermore When Pottermore was first announced last year I was looking really forward to it. I always thought that the Harry Potter series would make a great game. I was thinking something along the lines of Turbine's Lord of the Rings online , so when I learned Pottermore is basically an online portal where users can follow the story line of the book chapters, collect items, earn house points (through duels and brewing potions), etc., I was disappointed and never bothered to sign up for the website. Are your neighbors in Zombie Lane except for Rob gone? I had the same problem about a week ago and contacted their customer support. Their solution didn't work. However, their suggested solution apparently works on other users, so I'm going to post it here anyway so you can try them first. You can try the procedures in the above image first 1) In G+ open your Circles tab 2) Click on "People in your Circles" 3) Scroll through and look for a envelope icon on any of your G+ Circle friends (that icon means they don't have a G+ account, but you can share via email) Note those friends. 4) Open Zombie Lane and click on the "My Neighbors" tab 5) Remove any neighbors from step #3 above. 6) Reload Zombie Lane Note: If you don't have your some of your neighbors in a current circle, to fix this bug you will need to re-add them temporarily to your circles and then check for the envelope icon.  This is all I got when I replied back and told them m...

There are 3 new games at Google+! They have added 8 Ball Multiplayer Pool , Backyard Monsters and GT Racing Motor Academy . This is probably one of the most exciting additions to me so far. I've been waiting for more casual games - since you could only play a certain number of strategy/build-a-city games before you get sick of them. So I'm really happy they added pool and racing! However, my experience with the games aren't so smooth. In 8 Ball Multiplayer Pool , you can play with random players or you can choose to play with your friends. My problem is, you can't automatically see people in your circles that are online. You have to search their  names  :( And you can't chat! There are pre-loaded phrases that you can use. Just click the speech bubble on your icon. The Godfather: Five Families Inspired by one of the most iconic films in history, The Godfather Five Families game is now available in Google+! It was developed by Kabam, which brought us other social games like Edgeworld and Dragons of Atlantis.  You get to choose to play one of the Five Families, the Corleones, the Tattaglias, the Barzinis, the Cuneos, and the Straccis. I was about to choose the Corleones but it doesn't have a 7 day resource boost, unlike the other families. Maybe it's to prevent most of the players to choose the Corleones? Anyway, whatever family you choose, it won't really affect your gameplay much (except for the initial boost). I'm not a stranger to other Kabam games, but I did find the interface a bit confusing though the gameplay is very much similar to their other games. The graphics, while not the best, is still pretty good. I'm not sure if this game would be able to capture a lot of users' interest for long. 

More and more games are being added to Google+! There are five new games: Happy Kingdom , Uno Boost , Shadow Fight , Slotomania - Slot Machines and Millionaire City . While I don't have the time to try out each of the new games (apart from Uno Boost, which I immediately tried out after seeing it available), I'm pretty happy with this. More games for everyone!

Resort World by Game Insight is the newest game on Google+. Basically you create your own virtual resort, and in true social game fashion, need to ask items from your neighbors to complete/unlock buildings.  While I haven't seen anything new with this game, it's quite enjoyable. It a bit reminiscent of the PC game 'Beach Life' by Deep Red Games that I used to enjoy many years ago. And I like how the game is open-ended due to not having any tasks to finish. That way I don't feel compelled to check in on the game several times a day. Yay for more space! I made quick comments about the Solitaire game on OMGPOP more than a month ago here . I'm so glad to say that the issue that I had with the game is now modified! You can now close the chat window, leaving ample space for the cards! I'm not sure if it's just me though, but the cards look kinda blurry. Zombie Lane is a social network game by Digital Chocolate . The game is available both in Facebook and in Google+, but I decided to try it out on Google+ to avoid those distracting sidebar ads. In Zombie Lane , the neighborhood is under a zombie outbreak. The players' character has lost his/her spouse and dog, and their house is in utter ruins. The player must rebuild their neighborhood, all the while dealing with a zombie apocalypse. Having watched a lot of zombie apocalypse movies ( Shaun of the Dead being probably my favorite), I was intrigued by this game. It's a bit weird to rebuild your house/neighborhood whilst trying to keep zombies at bay, but it's actually quite a refreshing experience (in terms of gaming). I haven't opened my account in Google+ for a while. The people in my circle aren't very active so I don't really see the point on logging in Google+ often. Few months back, Google has announced their plans on offering games on Google+. I promptly forgot about it but I had just learned that the games were released on the site almost a month ago. There aren't many games available, but Google is gradually adding more games and are also looking for developers interested in building games for Google+. On their official announcement , Google has made it pretty clear that games won't get in the way in your overall Google+ experience. Your game invites, latest game updates and your game accomplishments aren't found on your regular stream and instead are located on the Games Page. Cupcake Corner is OMGPOP's first true social Facebook game. It was released over a year ago, but somehow on the apps' splash screen, the word 'Beta' is still present. Earlier this year, Cyanide Studio revealed their plans on releasing a role playing game and a real time strategy game for PC adaptation of George R. R. Martin's successful 'A Song of Ice and Fire' series. The real time strategy game entitled ' A Game of Thrones - Genesis ' is a single player campaign written under the supervision of George R. R. Martin himself. The release date would be on the third quarter of 2011. Just recently in an interview, Cyanide Studio stated that they had secured the license to HBO's Game of Thrones for their RPG, making it an official GoT video game. Cyanide's RPG is still untitled and is set to release in 2012.  When I first looked at the screenshots for ' A Game of Thrones - Genesis ', I was a bit disappointed with it graphics wise. The Solitaire game on OMGPOP has been available for star players for several months now (star players are members that have achieved either one of the following accomplishments: reaching level 100 on OMGPOP , buying a cashpack, or recruiting ten people *those ten recruits needs to reach level ten first*). OMGPOP released Solitaire today for all players to enjoy. The gameplay works just like how a game of Solitaire should be. It's quite different from the other games on OMGPOP (which are all multiplayer games, except for this one). However, if you crave socializing while playing, there is a chat bar on the side enabling you to chat with other users who are currently playing Solitaire . One really cool feature is the ability to continue you game.  Even if you play other games on the site or logged out, when you come back you can still resume your game. I think it would be better if there's an option to turn off the chat function or at least they should try moving the chat...

I'm one of those rare souls who has resisted on creating a Facebook account. Since I don't really have an account in Facebook, I had just heard yesterday of the game ' The Sims Social ' by EA Games . I'm a HUGE fan of the Sims Series of games (PC, mobile, or on console), I knew I had to try it out. The Sims Social has basically the same premise as the other Sims games. You create a character and you can customize its look. You also have to pay attention to your Sims' basic needs (bladder, hygiene, hunger, etc.). The house is also customizable. While the core elements of the other games in the Sims franchise are intact, what sets The Sims Social apart is the focus on socializing with real Facebook friends (called neighbors). There are a lot of tasks/quests in the game and most of the time you need to interact with your 'neighbors' to complete the task (or you can skip doing it and still get credit for the task buy paying SimCash).
