Fragrance Mists and Body Mists Review

I tend to acquire decants and samples when I'm in a midst of a crash out (I'd buy actual perfumes whenever I'm in dire mental straits if my funds allow me but it does not!), so might as well put my quick thoughts about them. I'll try to update this list as I try new ones. Bath & Body Works ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ (I have repurchased these) Wild Honeysuckle - FANTASTIC! One of their more complex fragrances that I've tried. Honey right out of the gate. Smells briefly of kisses (type of aroma beads that was popular in the 90s). Then you get a burst of overwhelming jasmine flowers before settling in to subtle medley of florals. Disappointing longevity however, even for a fragrance mist. Wish I could find something that smells the same but would stay much longer. Moonlight Path  - Smells like powdery, musky flowers. Some people would say old lady perfume but this is actually one of my favorites. THE PERFECT BEDTIME SCENT! One thing I've learned is scents either get reformulat...

Regent Creme Puff Cheese Flavored Cream Puffs

These looks really cheap and shady but damn they taste really close to actual cream puffs (not cheesy despite it being labeled as cheese flavored, perhaps they placed more vanilla than cheese). It doesn't taste like Japanese style cream puffs (like Beard Papa), but it tastes like cream puffs you can sometimes get in random neighborhood bakeries across Metro Manila which tend to have its filling in a darker colour and tastes a lot sweeter too.  Regent Creme Puff Cheese Flavored Cream Puffs -  I can't remember the exact price but I think it was less than 10php per pack. Betsy's Cake Center (Malabon)

I came across a blog post about Betsy's Cake Center sometime ago. I live in Malabon, so I was a bit ashamed that I haven't heard about Betsy's Cake Center before (anyway, their location isn't exactly walking distance from my place). I've went near the Malabon City Hall countless of times, but I haven't really noticed it. My sister suffers from cream puff cravings for several days now, and since I've read somewhere that there are also cream puffs available in Betsy's Cake Center, I decided to drop by the shop yesterday. Upon entering, I was greeted by a lot of awfully good looking goodies. They have meals available too. The other night, my sister gave me some money so I can buy cream puffs, but I placed it on top of the tv and forgot to bring it with me yesterday. I kicked myself for daring to enter solely on a poor students' budget. I even saw an apple pie (my favorite!) but it was 60 pesos a piece, so I cried a little inside. Anyway, I saw some ...

Mabini Home Bake Shop

I love cream puffs. It's no secret that it's my favorite choux based pastry. My favorite would be Peter Pan Bakery's cream puffs. It's located in Banawe, and I can't always go there as much as I would like. So, whenever I have a serious cream puff craving and can't go to Banawe, I buy cream puffs at Mabini Home Bake Shop. Taken while waiting for the cream puffs Mabini Home Bakeshop is a quaint bakeshop in Mabini Street, Caloocan. It's a few minutes away (on foot) from San Roque Parish. They have been on business since 1966, and that's a long time. With that alone, you'd be almost sure that you won't get disappointed with their food. Their cream puffs are not too sweet, and is available in two different sizes. They also have other goodies, but aside from their cream puffs I've only tried their cookies (which are also good). I love Beard Papa .............. not

The first time I saw 'Beard Papa', I knew I had to try the cream puffs right away. Never mind if 50 pesos ($1.13) for a cream puff is too steep for a broke college student like me. I went home, gave the other cream puff to my sister, and then took my first bite. ... .... ..... ...... Well. It wasn't too sweet, which my sister liked. I didn't find anything extraordinary with the cream filling though. I don't know if that branch of 'Beard Papa' just skimped on some ingredients (lol) so the cream puffs didn't tasted the way it should , because the way people rave about Beard Papa, I really expected the cream puffs to be really.... yum. My sister bought a mixed box of 'Beard Papa' yesterday, and again, I was underwhelmed with the cream puffs with toppings. At least the plain ones were better, but still, not good enough to make me spend 50 pesos. Since I'm talking about cream puffs, there is a place near the Philippine Orthopedic Hospi...
