Fragrance Mists and Body Mists Review

I tend to acquire decants and samples when I'm in a midst of a crash out (I'd buy actual perfumes whenever I'm in dire mental straits if my funds allow me but it does not!), so might as well put my quick thoughts about them. I'll try to update this list as I try new ones. Bath & Body Works ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ (I have repurchased these) Wild Honeysuckle - FANTASTIC! One of their more complex fragrances that I've tried. Honey right out of the gate. Smells briefly of kisses (type of aroma beads that was popular in the 90s). Then you get a burst of overwhelming jasmine flowers before settling in to subtle medley of florals. Disappointing longevity however, even for a fragrance mist. Wish I could find something that smells the same but would stay much longer. Moonlight Path  - Smells like powdery, musky flowers. Some people would say old lady perfume but this is actually one of my favorites. THE PERFECT BEDTIME SCENT! One thing I've learned is scents either get reformulat...

Althea Korea Philippines Review

Image
Althea Korea has been available to other Asian countries like Singapore and Malaysia but they have officially launched here in the Philippines last February 15. I'm sure you've seen them around as there were a slew of advertisements on Facebook (as well as write ups from bloggers). Upon looking at their website, the pricing is indeed cheaper than what I would usually find locally. They always have promos going on, and there was a brief time I considered buying from them because they were selling Nature Republic Aloe Vera 92% Soothing Gel for 0 bucks (free!). I actually still have an almost full tub of it, but it's a great product for unexpected use (mosquito bite relief and quick skin cooling effect among others) so it's great to have an extra tub lying around. Maybe I should review it sometime.  Anyway, after adding the items on the cart I forgot about it and the free Nature Republic Aloe Vera Gel promo ended but they had a promo on Easter. You just need to fi...

Tony Moly Delight Petite Cotton BB Cream Honey Beige Review

Image
I honestly forgot about this product. I remember buying this last January but I discovered cushion bb creams (only tried one out for the first time this year) and I forgot that I had this.  I actually like this more than the bb creams that I was using prior to this (the pink Skin79 and Canmake). Canmake was working for me well before my face got tanned due to prolonged sun exposure because it has more yellow tint than usual bb creams from Korean brands. Korean bb creams tend to give me a white cast (on indoors lighting but not visible outdoors) I specifically chose a darker shade than what I would normally get. It turned out to be a great foresight as I'm tanned right now and the Honey Beige shade is perfect.  At first I really wasn't expecting much as it was cheap. I bought it online on sale for less than 300php ($6.5) but on the online store I bought it from sells it at 395php regular price (around $8.6). I don't know if it's cheaper on the actual Tony ...

Lioele Secret Pore Rich Balm Review

Image
I've had this for almost 3 months now and I'm really happy with it. It's one of my HGs. Yes, I like this primer that much  Lioele Secret Pore Rich Balm I don't have perfect skin but it really doesn't bother me that much so I don't wear make up on a daily basis. I know other people use primers (mainly to help make glide more smoothly but some primers also 'blur' the pores), but after buying one and it doing absolutely nothing for my face (Canmake, because my ass is cheap) I never really tried out other primers. For years I just figured I have to live with my skin until it clears up someday so all this time whenever I go out with make up on I just walk around with my face looking like rice krispies  Lioele Secret Pore Rich Balm Box I don't really know what possessed me to buy this, as I have said previously I gave up on primers. It might be because it was on sale at the time but I can't really remember. Anyway, it's one of...

A'Pieu Honey & Milk Lip Balm

Image
I admit I'm a lip balm whore  hoarder. Even at groceries or drugstores, if I see one that I haven't tried before I'm just itching to buy it! I think it's because lip balms are usually cheap that's why I always end up buying one even if I still have several other lip balms lying around the house. Enter A'Pieu Honey & Milk Lip Balm. The packaging is bright and cute so it was hard to pass it up. Main active ingredients are: Honey - makes lip skin healthy Milk Protein Extracts - makes lips firm and moisturized Vitamin E acetate - skin protectant I have chappy lips days prior to using it, and it has calmed the chapping down after around 1-2 days of mild use. I do not lick my lips so I don't really reapply lip balm that much. I don't know if I'm just crazy but the smell reminds me also of sponge cakes that are baked with lemon rind. I do not think there is any lemon or citrus ingredients list, but the perfume may be citrus based....

A'Pieu x Crayon Shin Chan Deep Clean Clear Water Review

Image
A’PIEU Deep Clean Clear Water is a water based cleansing water ideal for cleansing make up residue. The key ingredients are Baking Soda (helps in purifying pores) and Heroget Carbonated water (containing enriched minerals for clarifying skin).  To be honest I only got this because of Crayon Shin Chan. Most toners/cleansing waters from Korean brands that I've tried are either too mild or just leaves a 'moist' feeling after use. It's not necessarily bad, in fact I think gentle/moist cleansers are preferred by most nowadays but it's just much more satisfying for me whenever I get that squeaky clean feeling after using a toner so I'm really happy that this one does just that. I'm not sure if Deep Clean Clear Water is part of their regular line and I really hope it does so I can still purchase it when this one runs out (in case they retire the design soon, it's still on the website but I also saw a Doraemon face contour set on their website recently a...

Beauty MNL Mini Haul Part 2

Image
I want to take advantage of Beauty MNL's January sale so I bought additional items. It seems January is a good time to buy stuffs as a lot of retailers go on sale for this month. I still haven't fully opened some of the items, as I wanted to take pics first because I'll just procrastinate and end up not taking pics. BCL Cosmetics Browlash EX Slim Gel Pencil BCL Cosmetics Browlash EX Slim Gel Pencil No special reason in choosing this, I was just looking for an inexpensive pencil liner. It delivers well but I wouldn't use it to line my lower lash as it got smudged right away(didn't really noticed how long, but maybe in less than an hour when I looked at the mirror the line on the ends of the lower lash got smudged). I rarely line my lower lash line so this is not a deal breaker. Beauty MNL Mini Haul Part 1

Image
I feel awkward using 'haul' (or mini haul in this matter). With online shopping making it even easier for people to buy shit they don't need (and end up broke!), buying stuff is commonplace. However, I am too lazy when it comes to making product reviews so I'm hoping to cram multiple short reviews here (unless the item is super good that it deserves its own post). L-R: Mizon Snail Recovery Gel Cream, Tony Moly BB Cream, Maybelline Dream Satin Foundation, Bath Junkies Pink Party, Biore Uru Uru Cleanser and Liole Secret Pore Rich Balm Pink Party Love Potion (Cologne by Bath Junkies) Bath Junkies - Pink Party Love Potion Honestly, I just bought it because it was cheap (and the price was even further slashed off because Beauty MNL had a sale). It was too citrus-y for me. Lioele Secret Pore Rich Balm Where have you been all my life? Lioele Secret Pore Rich Balm This is the best one out of everything I've purchased! Never been so happy with a pr...

Canmake Marshmallow Finish Powder - Matte Ochre Review

Image
Today, I will be writing about my favorite compact powder, Canmake Marshmallow Finish Powder. When I bought this, I didn't really think too much about it. I was just looking for a cute (and cheap) powder compact and this one fits the bill. I got it in the Matte Ochre shade, which is just perfect for my skin. Canmake Marshmallow Finish Powder Upon looking at Canmake's website , here's a list of notable things about this powder: - has an additive free formulation that can easily be removed with ordinary facial wash - free from surfactants, tar-based pigments, alcohol and fragrance - absorbs sebum and makes make-up last longer - has moisturizing agents like aloe vera leaf extract, rosemary extract, chamomile extract, lemon extract - has toning agents (for skin firmness) like horse chestnut extract, perilla (shiso) leaf extract - has emollient agents (for smooth skin) like squalane, olive oil, jojoba oil, grape seed oil - has two different sized spher...

Canmake Cream Cheek - 13 Love Peach Review

Image
I have the Canmake Cream Cheek sitting in my room for around two weeks now (along with Perfect Serum BB Cream and Marshmallow Finish Powder - will update links later), but haven't gotten around using the cream cheek until recently. I used to like using gel/liquid blushes when I was in my early teens but somehow outgrew it and rarely used blush in the recent years. Anyway, here are my thoughts on Canmake Cream Cheek (Love Peach): Canmake Cream Cheek in 13 Love Peach The colour looks like a warm pink on the package, so I was quite surprised how it is more of a pale pink colour on my cheeks. The colour I have on my cheeks is what I would expect from their 'Marshmallow Pink' shade (see chart below for reference) from: http://www.canmake.com/en/ebase/item_base025.html I didn't expect pale pink would suit me, so I'm not really complaining even if specifically bought 'Love Peach' thinking it will give a nice pink with a hint of peach. ...
