Fragrance Mists and Body Mists Review

I tend to acquire decants and samples when I'm in a midst of a crash out (I'd buy actual perfumes whenever I'm in dire mental straits if my funds allow me but it does not!), so might as well put my quick thoughts about them. I'll try to update this list as I try new ones. Bath & Body Works ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ (I have repurchased these) Wild Honeysuckle - FANTASTIC! One of their more complex fragrances that I've tried. Honey right out of the gate. Smells briefly of kisses (type of aroma beads that was popular in the 90s). Then you get a burst of overwhelming jasmine flowers before settling in to subtle medley of florals. Disappointing longevity however, even for a fragrance mist. Wish I could find something that smells the same but would stay much longer. Moonlight Path  - Smells like powdery, musky flowers. Some people would say old lady perfume but this is actually one of my favorites. THE PERFECT BEDTIME SCENT! One thing I've learned is scents either get reformulat...

Vintage Avon Perfume - Tempo released in 1978

I've read somewhere that Avon used to do "inspired" perfumes of popular fragrances (they don't do an actual dupe wherein it would smell too similar) so I was wondering if Avon had a scent that was inspired by Lauren (by Ralph Lauren ) They had a fragrance that was released the same year as Lauren , called Tempo . I couldn't find a comprehensive list of notes online, just vague descriptions saying the top notes are orange blossom, middle notes woody with moss for base. Still, it was also chypre like Lauren and I happen to come across .33 FL oz bottle for around $6 so I went ahead and purchased it. The verdict: it wasn't like Lauren at all but it is still quite lovely. It makes sense they were marketing it as a fun and upbeat fragrance because there certainly is an energetic feel to it. My nose isn't good at picking up individual scents (I think I did pick out jasmine?), but I would describe it as a powdery woody unisex fragrance. It has the infamous FD...

Lauren by Ralph Lauren (Vintage Fragrance Released in 1978)

I find myself thinking about this perfume a lot. I've gathered it was very popular in the 80's and was still quite popular when I was a kid in the 90's. My mom didn't actually liked it much (she got it as a gift) although later on, she became a huge Ralph Lauren Romance and Glamorous fan. I do think both of those perfumes smell nice but in my opinion, they don't hold a candle to Lauren . To me, Lauren actually embodies romance and glamour . As a kid, I would always gaze at my mom's vanity, thinking about how elegant the dark burgundy bottle looks and how it smells so "grown up".  Mexican telenovelas were really popular at that time and I remember in María la del Barrio , María (played by Thalía ) detected a different perfume on  Luis Fernando ( Fernando Colunga ). She found the same scent on the new nanny's room ( Penélope Linares played by Ana Patricia Rojo Stein ). I'm pretty sure it was Lauren judging by the shape and colour of the bottl...
