Fragrance Mists and Body Mists Review

I tend to acquire decants and samples when I'm in a midst of a crash out (I'd buy actual perfumes whenever I'm in dire mental straits if my funds allow me but it does not!), so might as well put my quick thoughts about them. I'll try to update this list as I try new ones. Bath & Body Works ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ (I have repurchased these) Wild Honeysuckle - FANTASTIC! One of their more complex fragrances that I've tried. Honey right out of the gate. Smells briefly of kisses (type of aroma beads that was popular in the 90s). Then you get a burst of overwhelming jasmine flowers before settling in to subtle medley of florals. Disappointing longevity however, even for a fragrance mist. Wish I could find something that smells the same but would stay much longer. Moonlight Path  - Smells like powdery, musky flowers. Some people would say old lady perfume but this is actually one of my favorites. THE PERFECT BEDTIME SCENT! One thing I've learned is scents either get reformulat...

Fasting and Autophagy

24-48 hours is commonly cited as the time frame for autophagy to kick on animals. Research on humans still needs to catch up, and here are recent studies regarding how many hours of fasting does a human need before autophagy begins: Time-Restricted Feeding Increases Autophagy in Humans : This 2022 study published in " Cell Reports " observed increased autophagy markers in participants following 18 hours of daily fasting within a time-restricted feeding window. Notably, it highlights the flexibility of individual responses, requiring further personalized approaches Intermittent Fasting Does Not Trigger Autophagy in Human Skeletal Muscle : This 2023 study in " Cell Reports Medicine " found no significant changes in autophagy markers after various lengths of intermittent fasting in participants. It emphasizes the need for context-specific investigations depending on tissue and individual variations. The Impact of Diet and Exercise on Autophagy in Human Sk...

Spot Reducing Fat

I've heard someone say that fat loss is more like tearing a page from a note book rather than sculpting out clay. Where fat comes piles on (and comes off) is primarily determined by genetics and hormones. HOWEVER there's constant search for more effective fat-loss solutions. Recent studies and trials haven't shown substantial success in achieving true spot reduction. However, some advancements offer nuances to consider: 1. Localized Fat Mobilization     Studies on cold therapy ( cryolipolysis ) and radiofrequency show small-scale fat reduction in treated areas like the chin, abdomen and thighs. These methods potentially break down or mobilize fat cells in the targeted area, but the overall fat loss remains modest and doesn't guarantee fat will only be lost from that specific area.      This seems to work best if you have minimal fat or minor sagging. I've watched countless of videos of overweight / obese individuals that have undergone non-invasive p...
