Beach Life Virtual Resort: Spring Break - Opening and Editing The .BLE Game Files

I've read somewhere that Avon used to do "inspired" perfumes of popular fragrances (they don't do an actual dupe wherein it would smell too similar) so I was wondering if Avon had a scent that was inspired by Lauren (by Ralph Lauren)
They had a fragrance that was released the same year as Lauren, called Tempo. I couldn't find a comprehensive list of notes online, just vague descriptions saying the top notes are orange blossom, middle notes woody with moss for base. Still, it was also chypre like Lauren and I happen to come across .33 FL oz bottle for around $6 so I went ahead and purchased it.
The verdict: it wasn't like Lauren at all but it is still quite lovely. It makes sense they were marketing it as a fun and upbeat fragrance because there certainly is an energetic feel to it. My nose isn't good at picking up individual scents, but I would describe it as a powdery woody unisex fragrance.
It has the infamous FD&C Red No 4 |
I've been trying to make my own blend of Lauren using perfumes, essential and fragrance oils (unsuccessfully so far). Interestingly, one of the blends I did smelled similar to a dried down Tempo also after drying down. The original blend (in which I just mixed up perfumes) smelled nothing like Tempo, but it did after I added the following:
Lemongrass (I was trying to substitute it for galbanum because I couldn't find it locally)
Neroli
Spearmint
Mimosa
Ylang-ylang
Ho Wood (I was substituting for Rosewood)
Cedarwood
Sandalwood
Vetiver
Oak Moss
